Privacy policy
The Techno-Ocean Network Secretariat (hereinafter referred to as the "Secretariat") recognizes that it is a social responsibility to strive to protect personal information obtained through the business activities of this Secretariat. In that sense, we have established the following personal information protection policy and we will implement it with the appropriate and safe management efforts.
1. Compliance with laws and regulations regarding the protection of personal information
The Secretariat will comply with laws and regulations regarding personal information and other norms and will handle personal information appropriately.
2. Acquisition of personal information
When the Secretariat acquires personal information, will acquire it by appropriate and fair means, and will clarify the purpose of its use.
3. Purpose of use of personal information
Personal information acquired by the Secretariat in the process of conducting Techno-Ocean Network (hereinafter referred to as "TON") events will be used for the following purposes.
- Information and operation management of exhibitions, seminars, lectures, events, etc. held at TON events.
- Operation and management of the TON event web page.
- Provision and distribution of various materials (reports, proposals, etc.) related to the TON event.
- Response to consultations and reports received by the Secretariat in connection with the implementation of the TON event.
- Notifications about TON events, contact and sending of questionnaires, etc.
- Guidance and operation management of other exhibitions, seminars, lectures, events, etc. conducted by the constituent organizations of this Secretariat.
4. Use of personal information
- The Secretariat will use the acquired personal information within the scope of the above purposes of use and as long as it is necessary for the performance of the business.
- When entrusting the handling of personal information to a third party, the Secretariat will conduct a rigorous investigation of the third party and will carry out appropriate supervision in order to maintain confidentiality.
5. Provision of personal information to a third party
The Secretariat will not provide personal information to a third party without the prior consent of the user, except as required by law.
6. Management of personal information
In addition to maintaining the accuracy of personal information and managing it safely, we will implement appropriate and rational levels of safety measures against risks such as unauthorized access or loss, falsification and leakage of personal information.
7. Disclosure, correction, suspension and deletion of personal information
The Secretariat confirms that the user himself/herself has the right to request disclosure, correction, suspension of use, erasure, etc. of his/her personal information, and the Secretariat will respond promptly to any such request.
8. Organization / System
The Secretariat will establish an appropriate management system to protect personal information and will endeavor to raise awareness of personal information protection among the officers and the staff.
9. Formulation and implementation of personal information protection regulations
The Secretariat will establish "Personal Information Protection Regulations" to manage personal information properly and safely; and will continuously review and improve the mechanism for personal information protection management as necessary.
10. Notes on Personal Information Registration
Please note that those who visit the exhibition, participate in panel sessions, etc., and register as a visitor may receive information on various events organized by the organizer (Techno Ocean Network) by e-mail or mail.
